The circle of Life

It has been an interesting few weeks.  I finished the semester of school with 4 A's and a B.  Now have traveled to be with family and say goodbye to a cousin who has passed away and to welcome a new member of the family, a niece probably.  It is interesting to me to have so much life happening at once.  Even in death is life.  The cycles of life include many things, growth, pain, love, and yes death.  But it is all life.  Every moment of breath is life.  My travels this past week or so have been a reminder to experience life to the fullest.  To make the most of opportunities to experience growth.  And to love, no matter what, to take time for those you love.  Time is a piece of your life.  Only give pieces of your life to activities and people and places that you love.  Do what is needed to have the ability to give the pieces of your life to those things you love.  Blessings.

Life happens

Well, I should be celebrating and I will soon.  Spring semester is over, finals are done, books are returned, grades should be posted soon.  I thought it would be a fun weekend and then time to start on my summer projects which include writing (and reading) and sewing.  Of course, life decided to interrupt.  The car service engine light came on yesterday and fixing the issue maybe a few dollars for a fouled spark plug or several hundred for a new sensor plus several more hundred to install it.  Well, as my friend Katie says, if God was in charge when you started then He is still in charge or He never has been.  So, God, since you are still in charge and You obviously know all the things that have to happen this summer, I expect this will just be one of the ways we get to watch another of Your miracles unfold.  Thanks for the blessings.  Glad I get a chance to be writing again.

I'd rather be writing

I feel like another time flies while your having fun post is what aught to go here, but it hasn't been all fun.  Some of it has been in fact, hard work.  Being a college student again has been eye opening.  Most of the classes have been pretty straight forward for me, except Spanish.  Wow, I wish I had stuck with a language in high school.  Well, even people who had Spanish in high school are struggling in this class and I am making it through.  Honestly though the hardest thing has been staying focused on my homework and away from the book(s).  I WANT TO WRITE!!! I was so excited after I got the first book back from the editor that I spent a lot of my spring break working on it.  I had to force myself to put it down and get back to school work.  Well, just one more week of classes and then a week of finals and I am free to jump into all my summer projects, the first of which is getting a query letter ready so I can get an agent, literary.  Wish me luck, hope to see you all in a few weeks.

I did hear something today which, I modified a little, but still think it is great.

...on our broomsticks."

March is more than half way through...

Wow, does time fly when you are busy doing homework.  Being a student again is many things including time consuming.  Had three tests/quizzes last week.  I have one coming up next week.  I also have much Spanish to learn.  I am glad to be occupied with working toward a degree and hope that come graduation day I will excitedly be employed.  Maybe between now and then I might find an agent and get my first book published.  I get the book back from editing next week.  Hopefully over spring break I can make the changes and then begin shopping for a literary agent again.  Have several ideas I have begun jotting down more ideas.  I don't dare start writing again or school work will go right out the window.  Good thing I have the summer off to get caught up.  Hope I get a chance to blog again before April is almost over...time flies.

Happy Groundhog Day!

Well, being a student again has certainly curtailed my free time.  It is good to be moving toward a degree but has definitely knocked a dent in my time to write, well write anything not related to school.  Glad I'm not taking any courses this summer.  I also live close enough to New Orleans to be effected by both the Black and Gold Superbowl and Mardi Gras.  Geaux Saints!  Hopefully after I get the hang of being a student again and get past the big game and the big parades I will have some more time to write for enjoyment.  Till then, blessings!

Happy New Year!!!

Welcome to 2010.  I am glad to have made it through 2009 and look forward to a full and rewarding year with healing and good health being prominent.  I hope to be a college student again soon and am jumping the final hoops to accomplish that.  I also hope to make more progress this year toward being a published author, not just an author.  I am doing my best to not make many concrete plans and to just let the year unfold as it wishes.  Creator knows the desires of my heart.  Creator also knows, better than I do what will be the most beneficial to me and to creation.  I look forward to what is in store for all of us.  The ride called 2010 begins today.  Blessings.
