Saying Goodbye to Hoss
I got a phone call last week. It was one of those calls you hate to get. An old friend is in the hospital... I got the other phone call today. He passed away this afternoon... I felt sad, for a few minutes. I feel awful for his kids who are now learning how to deal with funeral homes and death certificates before they're 30. But for him, I just feel peace. He had a great life. He had lots of friends. He enjoyed every minute he could. I remember him practically falling out of a chair at a weekend long marathon event because he was so tired he couldn't stay awake but he wouldn't go get some sleep...he was afraid he was going to miss something. He didn't miss a thing. He grabbed every moment he could from this life and I am sure he will do the same in the next. Speedy travels my friend. Say hello to those we know who went before. I'll see you eventually. Blessings.
