I had a great time visiting with my parents for three weeks in the DC area. I got to see my brother's family as well. We had a good time going to piano recitals and church services to hear the kids play and sing. We made the trip by Amtrak instead of driving this time and it was great. It was such a relief too, not to have to drive. But, vacation is over.
It's not such a bad thing though. I really am enjoying school. The Low-Res Creative Writing program at the University of New Orleans is turning out to be a great decision for me. I have met some very interesting people and learned more than I had ever hoped in my first semester. I am really looking forward to this next semester. I have plenty of reading and writing to do. I guess it is a good thing I enjoy it so much. And this summer, the workshop will be in Cork, Ireland. (Yeah!)
