FIFTY-ONE

The greatest problem in the world today is intolerance. Everyone is so intolerant of each other. Princess Diana

When I find myself being intolerant, I ask myself why. What is it about the situation or person that gets under my skin? Often it’s because I’m in a bad space. I’m intolerant of myself. My intolerance stems from my own faults and prejudices; my own ignorance. When I can stop and see the person or persons involved as valuable creations of the same loving God that created me, then I can usually get past my intolerance. When I allow my ego and my arrogance to stay in charge, I keep myself in a place of intolerance. I don’t like being there. That feels like living in fear to me and I don’t like that either. I’d much rather live in faith and love and hope.
