THIRTY-THREE

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. Mark Twain

Mark Twain has so many amazing quotes. I could spend a day just shuffling through his sayings on line to see what might be usable. Why does he have so many? Because he followed the secret in the one above. Some days getting started is easy. Some days it’s the hardest thing to do. On those days, I try to remember why I am attempting the project. I try to think about the person or persons who might benefit from my efforts. I ask for my work to translate into the best it can be for whoever needs it. I say thank you for the opportunity. Then I get started.
Is there something I need to start today?
Is there something I need to start finishing today? Often this is the better question for me. I am good at coming up with ideas. I am good at starting projects. Finding or making the time to finish them is harder. In fact, as soon as I finish this one, I have a quilt, or three that I need to finish.
