THIRTY-SIX

Regret is an appalling waste of energy, you can’t build on it; it’s only good for wallowing in. Katherine Mansfield

In my opinion regret is only good for keeping me down, helping me relive a missed opportunity. I can’t do anything with it but let it go. And then get on with living, get on with doing the next thing so I don’t regret missing life.
There was a time that I wasn’t sure I wanted life, that I thought going on to the next place might be the easiest thing to do. Now, I have to say, I want life. Even with all its ups and downs, even with the tough days. The beautiful days are so worth it. The beautiful people are worth double. I’m in, for the duration, without any regrets.
