THIRTY-ONE

I think all of us are creative in one form or another. It may be through cooking, painting, writing, storytelling, dancing, sewing, dreaming, etc. I have one friend who can crochet practically anything. She recently made a ring pillow and flower basket for a wedding. Every person I know, while in the act of creating, are simply motivated to create. They want to see the image or dream in their mind come to fruition, to share it with one other person or many, or simply to enjoy it themselves. They aren’t in it to beat anybody else. In fact, most of them would (and do) happily support other creators. They cheer them on. They offer helpful critiques. They come to opening night and closing night. They are a community that supports each other.

I am grateful beyond words to be part of several creative and supportive communities. I hope that I am a blessing to them as they are to me.
