THIRTY-EIGHT

Screw guilt. Jack Weaver

Though I’m certain Jack wasn’t the first person to say “screw guilt.” He was the first person who said it to me and I heard him, partly because he gave me a pin that said the same thing. The only thing guilt is good for keeping me down, making me relive a mistake.
If I’m actually guilty about doing something wrong, creating some harm, I need to clean it up but then I need to let it go. Continuing to beat myself up because I wasn’t capable of doing something different or better at the time offers me nothing today. Now that I know better I can choose better. But guilt, no, screw that.
