THIRTY-TWO

Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can. Arthur Ashe

I once heard someone say, “I’d like to give you some oranges. Oh, I better go get some first.”
It is a statement I now use to remind myself that I have to have something before I can give it away. These three short phrases from Arthur Ashe are much the same.
Start where you are. Well, how could I possible start from anywhere else? Yet many people say, “When I get to such and such milestone, then I will…”
Use what you have. It’s the orange thing in reverse. What do I have, that’s what I’ll use.
Do what you can. Do. Do anything that might make this world a bit better because you chose to do.
