When in doubt, don’t. Mary
Weaver
I don’t know why this has helped me
so much over the years, but I am glad she said it to me many times. I’m one of
those people who wants to jump, to make snap decisions. I think things need an
answer right away, even if I’m not sure what that answer should be. Mary taught
me to stop if I wasn’t sure. To wait until the proper answer came, until I was
certain within myself about what to do. When I am in the wishy-washy stage, I
need to wait for more information. I have learned that for me waiting is often
part of the process. This waiting is an important piece. If I can be calm and
get through it, then the results are often better than I anticipated and I’m
rarely mad at myself for making a wrong decision.
